A 37-year-old man visiting Toronto for Caribana was shot in a botched robbery attempt early Sunday morning. Police said the Rochester, N.Y., man was performing a card trick for some passersby just before 2:15 a.m. near Bay Street and Richmond Street West when three men approached the man and attempted to steal his gold necklace. The man resisted and was shot in the thigh. The victim also broke his femur as he fell to the ground, Staff Sergeant Craig Lewers said, but his injuries are not life threatening. Police are looking for three men in the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to contact police. Leave a Comment { Last Page } { Page 11 of 48 } { Next Page } |
