A pipe bomb attack on a west Dublin home is being investigated bydetectives.
The device was thrown through a window of a house on theLindisfarne Park estate in Clondalkin at 12.30am. Gardai said thedevice did not explode and two people in the house at the timeescaped without injury.
A number of residents on the estate were evacuated from their homesfor more than two hours while the Army's bomb disposal unit madethe pipe bomb safe. It was then removed to Cathal Brugha Barracksfor a technical examination.
